The Student Partners Program is a scheme developed in partnership between the Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC), the Government of Canada and the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi. The objective is to increase the number of study permits and to make the system more efficient.

The Student Partners Program (SPP) is an administrative framework designed and implemented in partnership between the Canadian visa offices in India and the Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC). The current list of participating ACCC members is the following:

Students do not apply to the SPP; they apply to a participating college and may be considered under the program if they meet specific criteria.Application submission under the SPP is at the discretion of each participating college.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER

Budget

Total tuition fees + Living Expenses + Transportation expenses (with return)

Normally it would be Tuition fees + $ 10000 to 12000 CAD p.a.

For each dependent cad $ 4000 p.a. additionally

Student has to pay 1st Semester/term/year fees (as mentioned in the offer letter) and the remaining fees can be paid on the later stage. If student is going for two three or four year program he has to show funds for the first year only. Funds have to be shown less to the amount which has already been paid.

Funds Requirement:

In SPP, GIC is mandatory.

ESL Studies:

Canada doesn’t issue offer letters to students with low IELTS with ESL. The student is required to have the IELTS score as per requirements in order to apply for VISA under SPP.

Work Allowed:

Students are allowed to work (20 hours/week) during college and full time(40 hrs/week)during semester breaks.

In order to get off-campus work permit student is required to show letter from college confirming his 6 months regular attendance from last 1 year of course.

Spouse can work for the full time.

Dependent student can study but their study permit  is required.

After Student Visa

Can extend study permit and get a Full time permanent job and file for PR.

It is strongly recommended that you submit your application by 01 August for September entry and by 01 December for January entry. Applications for a Study Permit received after those dates will not normally be processed in time for the start of classes and will likely be refused.
